So (a needle pulling thread), it seems that my previous post didn't meet the spirit or the letter of the law for the Rules of the blog challenge 08.  Well, the rules suck.  Here's why:  I don't think I should have to post every day if I don't want to.  I should be able to write a freaking huge post once a week and have that count.  Anyway - in protest, I am blogging today's entry about how the rules suck and in doing so comply with them.

I'm falling behind in the challenge and need to post something.

I'm thinking about starting up a daily or weekly digest of links that are of interest to me.  It would be part World of Warcraft, a lot of .NET development, with a sprinking of randomness that would in all liklihood be only of interest to me.  All I need is a name...

I kindof like "FrameworkDuJour".

I have upgraded to DasBlog 2.0.  Let me know if you see anything strange...

Step 1 in bringing this blog back to life will be upgrading my DasBlog instance to the latest version.  But before I do that, I need to backup my existing site.  A year of baby pictures has meant that my weblog folder is getting quite large and I have no decent FTP client.  I used CuteFTP back in the day, but can't get download.com to let me download.  Anybody have a suggestion for a cheap (ideally free) FTP client that I can use to help manage the blog?

A couple of guys I know are starting up a blog challenge.  It is just the push I needed to bring this blog back to life.  I've been playing around with twitter for the past couple of weeks and have managed to get myself hooked on microblogging, but I am feeling the limitations of 140 characters.  Sometimes I just have more to say.  So here goes nothing.
