Step 1 in bringing this blog back to life will be upgrading my DasBlog instance to the latest version.  But before I do that, I need to backup my existing site.  A year of baby pictures has meant that my weblog folder is getting quite large and I have no decent FTP client.  I used CuteFTP back in the day, but can't get download.com to let me download.  Anybody have a suggestion for a cheap (ideally free) FTP client that I can use to help manage the blog?

Have you tried http://www.smartftp.com ? Its free to use for non-commercial use, and its pretty good. The only issue that I've had with it is that extremely small changes such as capitalization of a character will not trigger a need to actually upload the file.

Filezilla for me. Has some resource problems occasionally, but it performs fairly well.
